Besides belting the broncs, we never really put any team to the sword last year.
we won alot of scrappy games.
For example, the close games we lost this year against penrith, dogs, we were winning last year. Not convinclingly but still winning.
this year those games are not going our way
Agree with you there phoenix86.
Winning teams from this year (like the Tigers) are basically doing what we did last year. Especially with their fast moving "in-you-face" tactics in defense.
But we were also more steely in defense last year too. If we made an error or gave away a penalty, we defended like our lives depended on it. This year, our errors and penalties are like a secret signal between our players. It's like they're saying "okay, remember what we said at training boys, when one of us gets penalised THAT'S WHEN WE HAVE TO LET OUR OPPONENT SCORE 6 POINTS FROM IT".
This year, we've gone back to what we did for many years before last year. And that is > we are the ones who manufacturer the repeat sets (through our errors & penalties) for our opponents to kill us with. Our opponents just hang in there waiting for us to manufacturer every point scoring opportunity fo them. This year, playing against Parramatta is better than having a bye because we improve their for & against ;)
Changing coach may just be another stab in the dark as even a craig bellamy protege cant fix the stench left over from systemic arrogance.
Politics is in everything especially in the coporate world which governs this game.
