Eels circle Segyaro

Don’t be surprised if James Segeyaro ends up at the Eels in 2019.Parramatta are on the lookout for a hooker for next season and Segeyaro is one of the most dynamic in the business out of dummy half.[IMG]Cronulla's James Segeyaro could be a hit at Parramatta. (AAP)But he has yet to sign a new deal with his current club Cronulla, where he shares the hooking role with classy local junior Jayden Brailey.Segeyaro has some ‘baggage’ off the field but if the Eels can get him to behave in his down time, he could prove a great signing.

  • fk me - we had a chance to get Segeyaro couple years back cheap and BA said no....So now we'll pay top dollar....

Lets not forget he was Dally M hooker of the year a few years back.

  • would be great move, NOT !!

Chicko and Corey together at the one place all the time only spells trouble to me.

    • Corey is gone mate, Segeyaro is a great hooker.

Besides they already live and hang out together.

      • Its not his playing ability I question, I agree he is a good hooker and better than we have at the moment but I'm not a fan of him and Corey together all the time. I'm hoping we get serious on a no DH policy and if so, that would rule out Chicko.

I'm also aware that Corey is "on the market" but that's no guarantee that he will or wont be at the club next year.

        • Ok - but what off field drama's has Segeyaro had?

Im not starting an argument as i cant recall him being in the media for anything bad. Except for the dinner party he had with Junior and Norman?

          • you're right, apart from the infamous dinner I don't believe he has been on the back or front page for anything bad buts its his notorious party boy image and perceived lack of commitment to being a professional athlete that concerns me and pairing that with Norman's ways I don't think is where we need to head.

he was cut from souths early in his career for disciplinary issues and left Penrith with some questions as I recall.

            • Good point DaRock. Spot on

          • Pretty much every off field issue Norman has been involved in Seggy has been right there next to him. From a football perspective, a definite yes from me, he is light years ahead of what we have.

            • normally chicko is the one taking the photos/videos

      • Seggy is pretty good at tackling the chicks for normy when he wants a Canadian club but from thereon I think he only watches on - not sure about on the field tho ;-)
