Eels Chase Barrett

This was in the Sunday Telegraphs SportConfidential section.

PARRAMATTA remain confident ofsecuring the signature of NSW Origin skipper Trent Barrett.

It would leave the Sharks in total disarray with a skipper who doesn't want to be there next season, a star winger who wants out, a coach who won't be there and still no appointment as CEO. Despite
denials this week, the Eels have been secretly talking to Barrett's
agent Wayne Beavis for several weeks. They are hopeful he will sign a
contract by Wednesday to play the final season of his career in a blue
and gold jersey.

Looks like we will know by Wednesday whether Barrett will be in blue and gold for 2011.

"Interesting you brought up the Bulldogs game. I thought he was very average from fullback in that game, only ranked up 30 fantasy points, 2 Errors, 1 Handling Error and ran for 108m.
Iongi regulary runs for 150 - 200m each game and averages…"
