SATURDAY was actually a great day for the Parramatta Eels.Forget the $1 million fine, the loss of 12 competition points and the dismissal of the salary cap cheats. Finally it gives them the opportunity to move forward and slam the door shut on the people who have brought a great footy club to its knees.SATURDAY was actually a great day for the Parramatta Eels.Forget the $1 million fine, the loss of 12 competition points and the dismissal of the salary cap cheats. Finally it gives them the opportunity to move forward and slam the door shut on the people who have brought a great footy club to its knees.Cheer up Eels fans — it can’t get any worse.Have faith in the future and use the Cronulla Sharks as an example. The peptide scandal could almost have shut the club down. Then along comes a chairman with the business expertise and sporting nous of Damian Keogh and a board full of commercial, legal, football and marketing experts. Now they are at the top of the premiership ladder. Sponsorship is sold out. A smaller version of Suncorp Stadium.NRL Integrity Unit boss and CEO Todd Greenberg deliver the decision. In coach Brad Arthur they have the right leader to ensure a competitive football side. That he has managed to hold the team together in such a competitive fashion without a chairman, CEO or footy manager is a credit to him. • Our roster for 2017 will be our best we have had in years.
    • Things are starting to shape up now Rosey, i'll be putting a few dollars on an eels premiership next year.

    • Come on mate we need more then this.........

Talk about giving us all blue balls.....

  • Elaborate please?
  • Watch out for the glossy coats of lacquer now being applied to a club deeply and intensely sand-blastered for months on end. Those who gain the most, the outcome, are usually the perpetrators behind all the sandblasting. Things are NOT what they seem. Privatisation is behind the sandblasting. Our club must never fall into the hands of these nutters.

    • We know who will be behind one of the tickets trying to take control of the board and he is deep, deep in this mess. Merit based selection is the only way to move past people with personal agendas. It is the only way forward. Members must promote this to other members. We cannot allow another faction or a privatisation ticket to take control, especially if they have brought the club to its knees.
  • I agree Snake, Eels will return in 2017, 2016 is a write off.
  • Lol.... he just had to take a chance to wax lyrical about those perennial losers, the Sharks...
    • I feel sorry for Sharks fans that this alcoholic piece of shit follows there club.

    • Alcoholic piece of shit lol.... sounds like a specimen in a jar....i can imagine a dr saying 'and here we have an alcoholic piece of shit, a sample perfectly preserved from the 1850s...

"I really liked that 2010 strip. We should have a combination of the 86 jersey and that 2010 jersey as either home or heritage."

"Love this one, I think we will use this design and the captains run short from this season to refresh our Home jersey for 2027. We will also have a new away too, hopefully Adidas have a look at us and produce something very special. "
