  • Eels*** lol
    • Cmon mate. They really dont tak
      e these games seriously
    • I dunno, the Warriors looked really good tonight
  • The team we sent compared to the real team? The panthers trial is way more important
  • Was at the game as i live in alice. Most important was no injuries that i could see. Couple of head knocks. We were up 20-6 when they started moving players around into different positions. Thats when we got run down. Our best for me was Junior Paulo. Titans had a pretty strong team for most of the game. Most players played about half the game through rotation. Any one got any questions feel free to ask and ill do my best.
    •  grids: Can you give any assessment of Cody Nelson? 1) Did he play? 2) When did he come on? 3) What position did he play? How was his defence? How long did he play? Subjective assessment?  I thought that the Titians would be understrength as were the Eels--was that so?

    • Hi guys, kenny edwards played the first half. He went down with injury early on but was ok to continue. Pretty sure it was a head knock. He was good when on showing enthusiasm in attack and defence. Sorry fellas but didn t notice the other 2. With heavy rotation and new faces its hard to keep track. Luke kelly still has the kicking game of a one legged blind man. Kaysa pritchard plays like hes 110kg not the 70 he actually is. Ryan Morgan was solid. Bevan French had ljmited opportunities but layed on a nice hayne esque pass for try.
    • Hope Cornish has a better kicking game
  • When you consider we were missing between 10 to 12 top 17 NRL players that is a pretty good result.  In previous years if we had that many senior players missing we would have been beaten by 30 or 40.

    Well done guys!

  • The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have ended their week in the Northern Territory with a 20-all draw with the Gold Coast Titans in their first NRL trial of the year.

In front of 2,405 vocal fans at Alice Springs’ Anzac Oval, a late try to the Titans saw the match levelled on the siren.

The first quarter began with the Titans dominating possession, with Nathan Friend burrowing over for try from dummy half before the Eels had the chance for an attacking set.

Local Territory junior Luke Kelly was instrumental in setting up the Eels’ early try, with Ryan Morgan the beneficiary of a right to left play, crossing on the wing.

The second term saw the Eels forward aim up, with Junior Paulo, Daniel Alvaro and Cameron King rotated into the side.

Alvaro didn’t last too long, leaving with a concussion early in the quarter, but the Eels stepped up their attack.

Kelly came very close to scoring himself, but the next play Paulo received the short ball from dummy half and barged over under the posts to put the Eels ahead.

Quick hands from King and fullback Bevan French saw a long distance pass land with Bureta Faraimo, whose speed saw another try added to the Eels’ tally.

Centre Brad Takairangi pulled off an incredible one-on-one strip off Shannon Walker, with a pass to rookie Alex Twal leading to his first try playing with the first grade side.

The third quarter saw more players rotated into the mix, with the two teams trading sets for most of the 20-minutes, resulting in no further score changes.

The final quarter saw the Titans begin strongly, with Nathan Davis finding some space and crashing over on the left edge.

The former Eels NYC player missed the sideline conversion attempt.

Just a few minutes later, and forward Leivaha Pulu crossed after a short ball hit his hands. Daniel Mortimer’s conversion attempt hit the left post and rebounded.

In the final minute, Eddy Pettybourne made a huge line break, scoring after the buzzer to put the Titans just two points behind, with the Davis conversion sealing the game as a tie.

Parramatta Eels 20 (Morgan, Paulo, Faraimo, Twal tries, Kelly 2 goals)

    drew with

Gold Coast Titans 20 (Friend, Davis, Pulu, Pettybourne tries, Taylor 1 goal, Davis 1 goal)

It has to be discussed dosnt it. Now that Zac can't play NRL for the next 2 years, unless the Eels are compensated, I'd like to move on and discuss the elephant in the room.By all accounts the Eels have tried just about everything in the last 2…
