Edwards v Tanganoa - how ironic!

Given today's tragic news about Kenny, I think Kelepi would have been a handy replacement. How ironic that we cut Kelepi loose due to his constant struggle with injuries and yet we loose Kenny for the season. I still think that this could come back to bite us in the backside. If he can stay injury free and with the right attitude he could be anything. He is still growing into his frame and played plenty of rep footy as a junior. I for one would have preferred we persevered with him for a while longer!

I reckon Moeroa's a more than handy replacement and a much better one than KT. I think KT can be a good player but atm he can't defend and he's too top heavy. Should cut down his weight and focus on healing his body.

Isn't this kennys first major injury? Kelepi has always been injury prone

Still think tepai and pauli will be a much better replacement still think kelepi isn't that big a loss with the talent we have in the backrow

Kelepi had big muscles and could possibly lift heavy things. As for the rest, I think how awesome he would apparently be as a regular first grader was largely based on said muscles and lifting ability - not actual performance. It bites Kenny is out for a long time but if there is one area we have great depth it is this one... we'll be fine and we'll hopefully have him back end of season / finals maybe.

And rounds 1-26 also EE - we keep everyone off the field, fresh and injury free just for the finals... no one plays until finals... hang on... wait...

Nope, im just saying dont play our firsts or best at a meaningless comp, imo its a stupid thing to do as has just been proven, id rather run out my best team come round one, its a long year as it is.

but the trials is there to get the team ready for the season, i think we all accept that as part of the overall season, the 9s is a johnny come lately event, its a waste of time imo.

Edwards, Ma'u and Watmough are very strong attacking players that can switch off in defense sometimes.
With Edwards out I would like to see a starting back row of Gower, Watmough and Moeroa. This combination still has strength but it now has tact and more of a defensive core to it.
