Where to from here because it seems there's always more then 5 players a year departing the eels and we never really replace them with anyone solid.But given how much money we have now plus if paulo does leave which will free up like 950k and matterson who's on roughly 750k.Now Walker who's on like 500-550k ish.Hopefully it means now we're extremely extremely active in the player market for the big fish.

I thought we should have tried harder to keep Apa. There's a lot of potential and versatility in him to provide good coverage in our backline. Possibly even a permanent spot there.

Yes I believe so aswell zip. Ea and those in the know have been talking up apa for many years. For mine he's the best outside back we have in cup, yet we lose him.
I can't see why o'neill survives as our development and players pushing for nrl spots is negligible.
The reason I want Sarantinos out is because he doesn't make the hard decisions especially in how the football operations is run.
Yeah though Perth gave him a clear chance of NRL and more likely gave him decent coin for 3 years. Dogs and Dolphins had a look but then soon pulled away. As by what Perth gave him.
He is a massive loss
Last year I would have agreed, but this year I don't think he suits the direction of the game especially with his age. I think it's absolutely right to let him move on and secure his final contract in SL.

All the players we are letting go you could have a pretty good argument that it's the right decision, that's not the issue, the issue is we aren't replacing them with players that are better let alone as good. That's fine if you're pathways is as good as the panthers but ours isn't nearly half as good, it seems to be improving but we won't really know for a few years.
Fair call JC. Yeah most of who is going so far are not bad decisions, but when nothing is coming in not sure where the improvement is.
They are relying heavily on our juniors improving at a rapid rate but that's not happening, our error rate is atrocious, has been all season and hasn't improved.
