Dylan Brown Prediction

Rumours going around that Luke Keary may be medically retired due to his on going concussion issues.

I'm predicting the Roosters to swoop in and make Dylan a priority signing with that Keary money unless they go on hard for Munster.

The cards at the moment are falling into place for another Rooster Raid to buy their way to another comp

  • They would target Munster... he is a more experienced and proven quantity than Dylan.

    • I hope they do. Munster is the smarter play out of the two, plus I'd expect they would want a bit more experience to guide Walker as well than what Dylan could provide.

  • Great prediction! Yawn
Im predicting the Dolphins, the warriors, the eels, will make Dyl a priority as well.
Ball will be in his court.

    • Yep, there will be no shortage of interest in his services. The decision will be entirely his as to where his future lies, probably the most sought after player in the competition when the time comes. We will have to go above and beyond to retain him that is for sure.

  • Oh ffs

seriously if that happens I bloody give up

    • Reading the tea leaves but I'm seeing it as a possibility and the clubs retention records don't fill me with confidence

  • Medically retired needs to mean just that

You are never to play again in a professional competition.

Not like the Inglis bullshit a few years ago.

The NRL need to be strong on this and explain this to the player and hold the club accountable if all of a sudden the player makes a miraculous recovery and can play again.

Why is this even an option for clubs to save their salary caps.

What if a player does his ACL in the first game of the year. The club doesn't get any cap relief as far as I know. It's just bad luck.

    • There use to be a rule that if a player missed 13 games or more the club gets salary cap relief,  I'm guessing that rule still applies.

      • Thanks HKF

        I wasn't aware of this

  • Sometimes , people are brought up with principles and  are taught by their parents and grand parents rules of honesty , decency and loyalty .  He will be the 2nd highest paid Eel if he stays . His strong family ties and his sense of belonging to the club he started with might keep him if the dollars are close .

Not every player wants a ch 9 or foxtel contract or to be connected with people in high places .  Cronk moved for his Mrs , but the opportunities that have presented to himself post career .  Like to think the kid stays .
