Great win on the weekend, but still plenty to work on...We need to utlise the bench much better, and stop burning out some of the forwards. That's another topic
Anyway....I watched the replay for the 3rd time yesterday. I'm sure someone who is more IT literate than myself can find this footage and hopefully post it.
There was about 18 minutes to go, and the Storm made another break coming off their 20 metre line. Straight up the guts and through some tired forwards. DB chased for 20-30 metres and brings the merkin storm player down. .From the quick play the ball, another line break is made. You see DB get back to his feet and chase, and he ends up making the try saver, 30-40 metres down the field
I think DB has always had the passing game, but the coaching team have always had Gutho as the sweeping ballplayer...Good to see DB has been brought into the attack now, and long overdue.
I make a post once in every 5 years, and after knocking off plenty of bourbon watching the replays, I thought I would highlight this. As a result, my recollection might be out, and he probably only chased 5 metres to make both tackles....

I think your on the mark FC, you may ask Wiz to confirm it, he watch's every move Dyllan makes and he will confirm it didn't happen and that Gutho deliberately tripped him both times and he accidently fell into those Storm players......It's great that we have Wiz there watching Guth, Dill and Mitch....the selectors and MRC hang on his every word.
Great news for Waqar, Wiz is giving catching practice during the week and guarantees Waqa won't drop another ball!
Gutho is used to much and the opposition knows he is definitely getting the ball. Need to keep them guessing
You lost me at Merkin. This isn't League Unlimited.
Yet Papsmear got the 3 points in the voting from a fellow Queerslander.
What a fucking joke.
Dylbags was on fire against the storm. After last season I had my doubts.
Now let's see if he keeps that up. If he does we are in for a real shot at the title.
Papenhuyzen is from NSW.
I thought he was a Queerslander. My mistake. Still not right that he got the 3 points.
Paps is from NSW. He went to Oakhill College at Castle Hill.
The Smear is quality....He was very good, and is playing tough again. He looked scared when he returned last year. I still would have given DB the 3 points for his overall game, and the fact we won.
Nice observation. Dylan Brown's cover defence has always been magnificent. In fact, his defence generally is pound-for-pound, as good as any half in the competition.I said earlier in the year, we would win the Premiership if Brown took his game to the next level, so I'm positively brimming at his performance.
