Dylan Brown and Brad Arthur

As a BA knocker, i say congrats he has turned this team into a genuine finals team, our attack is on song, and defence is aggressive. Yesterday we out mussled the Broncos. And pleasing to see we went on with it in the 2nd half. And i liked his presser.

As for DB i have stated he is good but nuthin special, well yesterday he was special, his defence excellent, attack excellent, and he combined well with MM.

CONGRATS TO THE TEAM AND COACHING STAFF. our aggressive defence, and awesome attack will put us in the game on Saturday.

  • It looked like everything came together yesterday, and I was wondering if BA got the team to play a little tighter towards the back end of the season to give them some experience in close games and games played more in the middle than the edges. We certainly play better throwing the ball around but in some situations you can't play like that.

If we are able to play like this next week we are a real chance to take down Melbourne.

  • brads been hiding what the team doing,,,no one knew the team traing thursday late on bankwest, no on knew whe whole team watch wenty a few week back  then went to central coast  with the wenty play who won, all 36 players  traing up there and played golf.

little knew  the top 36 train together   every week , but wenty only train one day a week under rip there coach.

now brad saying our top 36 are all part of our team and the lot want to play in the top team... we are united

also  in the past 5 to 6 weeks  some times brads  trained   twice a day and did video work  to get parra tougher , fitter, to plsy 80mins

with this,,, with this it seems brad has some plans not seen yet from parra, only in private  to beat the storm.

it seems  to beat the storm, you get them running wider, with there big player like yesterday..

a lot like the chooks play like , with mitchel  running near the side line most games.

after watching yesterday game,,,  surely you dump golden  point and strips which slow down the games..

if all the nrl play like yesterday the game will go gang busters in ratings... good luck to all the eels and supporters, i took parra at 90 /1 early and last week at 26/1 to win, yes it a dream b ut i ask guys, dream do happen sometimes.

  • She be apples  GP,  you're  not the  only one  to criticize  the coaching staff  ( myself  included  ) , but i still  don't know  why some on here   would  wave the white flag  even  before  a kick off , but anyway  also a  big  shout out  for the eels  bench,  keep  that momentum going  lads .

  • It's nice to read this because the biggest mouth never has anything positive to say after a win. The other day I read that BA moving on Potter was because he didn't want anyone challenging his job. This is the type of shit he spreads here. But after a win, disappears till next time. So I'm sure he will wait till next week and hope we loose just so he can say... I told you so!

Also want to mention a few names, Evans, Alvaro, Mahoney, Moeroa, Takairangi, Lane, Moses, Jennings. All these names have copped it here for one reason or another. Some supporters sat here giving it to BA, questioning his selections like they knew better, our first grade coach could see these guys had something inside them that could do the job. In years gone by coaches were accused for changing & swapping, now it was because BA was to loyal.

I have no idea why some thought we were going to be wooden spoon again before a ball had being kicked. I don't know why one person was saying don't get to excited. They would say it only early, the other team played crap, they weren't at full strength, at what point do you get behind the team? At what point do you start enjoying the ugly wins, the close wins, the great wins. Those are just negative dopes that have nothing better to do.

Next week we are going to run into the best team in the comp, on there turf, after a lost in a finals game. I don't think this team has anything to prove, we ain't like the Roosters or the Storm full of rep players. But this team feels like they can challenge & give their all for a win. And for that alone I'll cheer & if we loose, I think coming from a spoon to a semi-final for a place in a preliminary final is a great achievement & it's a great start to build to become a heavyweight in this comp. But if we win it will be another nail in a coffin for the fool that's had so much to say. 2019 ain't finished yet.

    • I fully agree however us Eels fans, as a group, we is a damaged we is. How can we not be. If having 3 spoons jammed up you doesn't make you twitch, we learned that we were even shit at cheating. And shit despite cheating. If it didn't hurt, you didn't care enough. I'm kinda liking the personality of our team. They are sussing themselves out. BA is sussing some things out. Culture is ephemeral, It is an emotional 'shape'. You can't buy it, you cant just create it. It is many men on the same page yet still individually divergent. You have to live it. BA may end up as the coach who healed our fanbase. Me. You. The whingers. Blue&Gold

      Go Eels

  • It was evident after his first 3 NRL games that Dylan Brown promised to become something special and anyone who didn't see that needs to go to Specsavers.

He took the time off to get his back right and has eased his way back into the top grade which is still new territory for him, having played only 14 or 15 games so far. He is creative, has speed and vision, as well as having courage, gouges deep into the line, and is a very tough player who relishes the hard stuff in attack and defence. He's only going to get better.

Too bad he's a Kiwi and not NSW born and bred because I think he will become a better player than either Moses and Cleary. Long may he stay an Eel!

  • Does any one else see Dylan as a full back or number 1.

I know he is doing very well at 6 but he looks like he could be a natural number 1.

  • I’ve watched Dylan from his sg ball days and he and young Reed were standouts above the others.

  • What is astounding with Dylan Brown is that from his debut he's showed a level head, not an ounce of panic and it seems as if he treats every game the same either that be an NRL finals game or a throwabout with his mates at his parents backyard. Nothing seems to phase him.

If his back holds up I'm sure we'll be crapping on about him for years to come. He also has a great understanding with Lane as if they've been playing together for years.

Kudos to BA for both him and Sivo. They are both massive finds.

PS. Greg Alexander (On the Panthers board) must have felt a bit embarrased yesterday watching both Sivo and Waqa tear it up. DWZ has been doing the same thing at the Dogs. It seems as though the Panthers have contracted Wests' "shit at retention" virus. IF RCG comes good next year that wil be even funnier.
