He has two cases, the actual charges of sexual assault and an AVO brought by Senior Constable Arthur Triantos on behalf of complainant "IG". Both are to be heard by Magistrate Atkinson @9:30. It is called a "Mention" hearing, basically the DPP lays out the charges and the defendant submits a plea. If he pleads guilty they schedule a sentencing hearing, he pleads not guilty, they schedule a trial date.
Basically he is gone for the year, trial date wont be til later in the year or early 2024. Thanks for the explanation Brett, law is one area where i am not great at and that was mentioned so well that i completely understand it.
Is there any chance of the case getting thrown out Brett? Or will that have been done by now? Or even a settlement? Again law is not strong suit.
That I don't know mate. But if I was Dylan, I'd be very wary of pleading guilty to these charges as they stand right now. His best bet is to plead guilty to lesser charges if offered.
"It's come out now that during negotiations with Melbourne, we put forward that they take Matterson too. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
LOL much love and respect for Jim, you tha man."
"yep. Loirima would be behind Bamblett, Davis, Rosario and Fletcher. Those 4 are genuinely elite talents yet Davis couldn't even make the team this week. That's how stacked this team is"

Depends what he pleads and if there has been any dealings between his lawyers and the Police as to same.
I would love to know what's in dps brief.

If that is the case he could get a slap on the wrist and move on.
I'm hopeful the avo will be dropped, pleades guilty to a lesser charge, all done today would be nice.
