As soon as Gutho started with the short dropouts I thought we were done and dusted. Also did anyone see Hastings first dropout of the night. I was in line with the tryline and kid you not he was one metre over the lone before kicking the ball. Wtf???

I mean we could of been successful getting a drop out if 7ft Lane wasnt a dope and lazy allowing 5fft Nafauloma to jump over him.
I didn't mind the short drop out. I'm all for contesting the ball more. You shouldn't meekly hand the ball to the opposition if you think you can get it back.
Only a metre
It looked longer on TV
I don't mind them either.... but IMO both attempts yesterday were bad calls, long kicks were needed in both scenarios... like Clint's customary panicked grubbers on 4th tackles- giving away 7 tackle sets. You could make a highlights reel of all the ones he has done on the same side of the field at crucial times. The two short drop outs yesterday stunk of desperation from a captain who lacks patience, he tries to create or score to off every play. He is not the cool head needed behind the goal posts in critical times- watch the footage in the sheds before the game & during.... he is talking to himself- no one listens. Just to himself and glancing up at the big screen.
Time to make Junior the sole captain. MM can make the onfield decisions while he is off. Mr Gutherson needs to fully focus work his own game & form atm.
Gutherson shouldn't be allowed to kick the ball period unless for goals when Moses is injured or tired
Nothin wrong with the short dropout. If anything do em more.
Nah don't like em to much of a gamble
On another note , did we all see how far in front of the ref the Tigers players were before Reed even had the ball in his hands on the Moses FG attempt . All of them at least a meter off side.
