Dragons 34 Eels 20

I was at the game with around 10 000 other league fans.

Trailed 16 nil early, got back into the game with tries to Robbo and Uiasele. But Dragons were too strong in the end.

We had a very young side. Kris Keating was very impressive. Robbo started at half then played hooker and went pretty well. Possibly a KK type role off the bench in 2010.

Morts didn't get much game time.

Mateo played only 2nd half and almost set up a try from inside our half with his first touch.

Shackleton is a big unit. He was playing lock, but he might be better utilised coming off the bench in front or 2nd row.

Tom Humble went OK at fullback, probably a year off a regular first grade spot.

All in all it was only a trial. Only 4 or 5 regular first graders were playing.

I've no doubt we'll have a successfull year with our full squad on the paddock!

  • Go Feleti!!!! State of Origin lock this year!
  • Awesome, thank you for that MJS!

Glad to hear KK cutting them up :-)
  • Fantastic news about little KK. I am so happy for him that he had a good game.

It also appears that opposition teams shoul be wary of the Shack Attack. :)

It all sounds positive to me, especially having only sent a baby team over!
  • Omg wev'e lost 2 games in a row, where definetely in a form slump now. :P
  • I am sure KK will prove lot of people wrong
  • heh mate you must have selective hearing cause hayne may have said that, but most of the players interviewed have said this has been the hardest off-season they've experienced. Hayne only began training after he came back from the four nations tour. I wouldn't question the entire team's attitude off the back of one individual's remark.
  • Mateo played on after the shoulder issue so he is likely fine
  • From that Fox footage I hope they practise plenty of wing defensive excersises. Same old story with wingers coming in when they are not needed.
  • They need to get rid of Lowrie and Galuvao. Oh, hang on, they did....
  • Hey MJS, wanted to ask you your thoughts on big Pele and any of the other forwards. Didn't any of the not-so-big names put their hand up?
