Don't join the circus.

Seems we’re sliding into oblivion folks. People are calling for protests and to boycott the game. All this at the same time people are complaining the place is a circus and we’re clearly in the middle of a media sh*t storm.

Let’s take a breath.

Do we know if Foran is coming?
No.

It is what it is. There’s been a monumental mistake by some key people. All fingers point to Scott Seward and his inability to negotiate an Eels friendly contract. He is no longer the CEO. All the Club has said is that they’ve recently discovered two news clauses in Foran’s contract. It hasn’t been registered. Everyone is trying to sort it out.
Seward can’t say anything because he’s bound by a confidentiality clause.

So there is blood in the water and all the sharks are circling. Other clubs want Foran and anybody with a beef against the current board is putting the boot in. They’d be mad not to. We’ve got to expect this.

The Club is silent… waiting for Foran to make up his mind so they know if they need to go into damage control or MAJOR FECKIN’ damage control.

To people calling for extreme action, I’d suggest waiting until we know who the at-fault individuals are what the consequences will be. The Chairman and Deputy Chair positions seem untenable no matter what happens – because the buck has to stop somewhere. And members and fans deserve (and demand) accountability. The board’s next move will decide their fate.

Protests and boycotting the weekend’s game simply buys into the hysteria. Manly would be loving it – just what they want.

Obviously people voted in seven individuals based upon they’re qualifications. The majority of those people had nothing to do with this debacle EXCEPT THEY HAVE A VERY BIG DECISION ON HOW TO CLEAN IT UP.

Hold tight folks. Watch and wait. Forgot a childish protest. You’ll just put us on the 6pm news again. All this affects the team. Get to the game and support our club. Don’t join the circus.

  • I was just logging off when I saw this. Thank you mate. I need to spell this out.
Has Foran or his management sought publicity in contract issues? NO!
Would the Parramatta board or management want to leak the clause problem? NO!!!
So who started this? Who would have the knowledge of the problem and would want to cause this?
    Please think about it.
It has already probably helped the contract to fail. I say helped because it should never have happened but the repair work has been sabotaged!
Who would want to destroy the club?
  • nah protest the best way to get thru to the club

    • I don't agree, I think we should stay calm for now. Nutcracker has a point, we (as in the Eels) don't want to be on the 6pm news once again.

  • Well said mate, we don't need to dig a bigger hole for the club.

Let's wait 1 week and see what happens, no matter what, we as fans will stick by our beloved club.

  • Wonderfully reasoned and laid out Nutcracker, I'm in total agreement pal.

  • Mate, I don't think anything will be forgotten is Foran stays. I said that above. Sharp has to go regardless. I said the Chairman's position is untenable. I think the Deputy's is too.

My point is that people should just take a moment to see what the outcome is before making protests and missing the game.

But I also don't think that all the current board members should be punished for something that couldn't control. They can control the next move though.

  • ITS OUR CLUB, it's a community club, I say take it back
  • SETTLE DOWN !!!!

    EVERYONE SETTLE DOWN !!!!!

    • If you protest you make the club seem even more of a no go area for players . It's not in our best interests to contribute in any way to looking like ' one flew over the cuckoos nest' . Even if at times we feel like it inside :-(
