The Dolphins have ramped up the chase for Parramatta Prop Junior Paulo after securing Queensland and Melbourne back-rower Felise Kaufusi.
I am not sure how this will go but you would think considering who we have lost Parramatta's hands are tied in terms of signing him at all costs but who knows.
One thing i will say i find interesting, though more likely nothing to it, is they said signings of Niukore and Papali'i to Warriors and Tigers and reported signing of Mahoney. Now they say reported as it has yet to be official though we all can imagine why but it is interesting that some in the media acknowledge that it is yet official, as you would expect them to say it is confirmed as we all think it is when it is not due to different reasons that we are unsure of.
But Paulo will demands overs cause we have money and if it is the case well Parramatta put themselves in that spot is it up to them if they want to give him money or not

If we pay Paulo overs, are we stuffing up our ability to sign decent replacements for those leaving?
You can't win without a dominant front row, origin quality front rowers are hard to come by and we have two.
The club can't afford to lose another high profile player, I say sign him even if it's $850k per season, BA has a history of getting the best out of the back rowers at his disposal.
Agreed.
It takes more than a dominant front row to win, though.
It is pretty much the sense that Paulo and Ayoub are seeing players leave and seeing their salaries being available in the cap leading to more money being available to get from the club, if the Dolphins are serious they could go 700K?
I do not think so though, we seem to get players from other clubs cheap or halfway through deals where the other club pitches in so we will more likely do that again, with Smith pissing Melbourne off they want to move him on now i think we could nab Verrills very quickly even or someone from Roosters so they can get him.
Diverting the money that we have available towards Paulo can backfire.
I argue it's not "available" for Paulo at all, because we need those funds to replace Mahoney and co.
No no, we arent holding it aside for Paulo, Paulo though will try and get as much of it as he can is what im saying.
Junior has 0 loytally with the eels and will take the biggest cash just like he did with Canberra and just like he did with the eels when he came back. Parra are a basket case of a club, you have a club like the roosters who have just signed Brendon smith and his already come out saying he can't Waits to win a comp for them, they have the likes of Joey manu who is going to stay for half the amount he was offered by the warriors and out of position. The eels can't even keep their main hooker after losing 2 650k back rowers abs fergo
Manu staying for half the amount offered elsewhere?
Yeah right, because we all know that the Roosters don't have other ways to pay players.
pretty sure its about 150 -200k less hardly half of a mill
We have a next man up mentality, moneyball sense, BA i believe is thinking it is making his job harder every year putting his all to develop players to have them leave and show their talent elsewhere. Let's hope they know who their plan B's are
