I know there was some chatter on here about possibly luring him to the Eels...
The Dolphins have pulled off a massive coup by signing England centre Herbie Farnworth to a three-year contract.
Farnworth will join the Dolphins for the 2024 season after completing his commitments with the Broncos later this year.
Farnworth stamped himself as a centre of true international class while playing for England at last year’s World Cup.
“There is no doubt that Herbie has been on our radar right from the very moment we started recruiting for this club at the end of 2021,” Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said.
“We made a big play to get him for 2023 and just missed out, so to now secure him on a long-term deal is a huge win for our club.
“Herbie showed what a great player he can be in the NRL for the Broncos last year before injury hampered him.
“To see him bounce back from that biceps injury at the end of last year and demonstrate what a world-class performer he is was amazing. We are so excited about what he will do in Dolphins’ colours.”
Meanwhile, Broncos forward Corey Jensen and hooker Cory Paix have re-signed with the club on two-year contract extensions.
Both Jensen and Paix will remain at the Broncos until at least the end of 2025 in a major boost for Kevin Walters and the club.
Star playmaker Adam Doueihi has signed a new deal which will see him remain at Wests Tigers until at least the end of 2024.
Doueihi has played 51 games for the Tigers since joining the club from Souths in 2020 and his extension will take him into a fifth season with the joint venture.
The Cowboys have extended the contract of star back-rower Jeremiah Nanai to a new four-year contract extension, locking him in at North Queensland until the end of 2027.
The Warriors have promoted second rower Demitric Sifakula and Taine Tuaupiki to a full-time contract for the 2023 season.

I mentioned this weeks ago, dolphins basically gave him a blank cheque. Flegler will be next to go on n the same direction.
Wow. Good buy quality player.
Who said 800k? He will play fullback but not sure about them figures.
He's an unknown quantity at FB, however, he's as natural a footballer to come out of England as I've seen in years, and I suspect Wayne will give him every chance to succeed. If he can stick and land the position, given what he's showed, $800K is market rate.
He's a fairly big bloke, but he is listed at 106kg, which seems about 5 kilos too heavy. He's not super tall, and he's quite lean. Does 106kg seem right to you merkins?
Yeah when you are tall you weigh more unless you are a stick figure you are usually a buck something if you are 6 foot 3 or over
106kg is a fair bit more than 100kg though. Shaun Lane is heaps taller than Farnworth but only listed at 110kg.
Agree Pou, how about Perham he is supposedly 6'1" and 14 and half stone? just cant see it but you have probably met him, what do you think?
I Think a lot of these players stats on size ect are questionable.
I highly doubt Lane is 110 these days. Maybe when he first came into grade. He's about 115 at least now.
This is hardly a coup; they've got some Johnny Cash to spend, as they have sweet no one.
