Dogs Of War

Happy Days, Unkie Desmond has done it again. Aaaaaaaah those Dogs are  something special. What a team, what grit and determination, what culture. Proud as punch of my team.

  • I certainly did Ron, thought they were gone. Thats why im proud as punch, the coach and the players just kept finding more.

  • Well done Todd - amazing season where the dogs didn't get one bad call at a big moment.l
    • Like the Josh Jackson chicken wing... Any other team would have lost the player for at least a week.
JWH from the roosters is always on report but again escaped suspension for the crucial game.
There ARE certain personalities in the NRL who influence certain people within the organisation.
  • I dont think it really mattered much. Neither team from this game was going to win the comp. Souths are unstoppable.
  • No worries Ron, uve never had the capacity to give credit where credit is due. The Panthers had 80 mins to get it right, they would have had their coach at half time tell them exactly what is req, and still couldnt get around the Dogs, a solitary try via a bomb was all they could muster in 2nd half.......u want a talking point, talk about the bulldogs great defence, their desire and will to win, the ability and discipline to stick to a game plan.....all good though, ur entitled to ur opinion.

  • Wasn't one of the dogs tries obstruction?
  • You may be right Nick, but thats not 100% a given. Dogs were supposed to be out 1st week of finals, certainly wernt going to beat storm in melbourne, but not only did they beat them, it was convincing. Manlys experience was supposed to be too much, we gritted our teeth and held on for a memorable win. Panthers was end of section apparently, but our disciplined defence and playing the entire 2nd half without our inspirational captain we somehow found enough petrol to outlast the mountain men.

Bunnies are certainly strong favorites for the GF, and deservedly so, but Rugby League is a funny game and anything can happen on the big day, u can only give yourself a chance by getting there, weve certainly done that,

  • I think Souths have the edge in the forwards, but Bulldogs in the halves. The GF could come down to a superstar like Greg Inglis. Although if the game becomes Bulldogs type of play grinding, bustling then the Dogs will win. Souths must avoid this trap!!
  • I never thought id say this but im going for the dog's this week. I feel dirty saying that but I now hate the rabbits more.
  • Sorry TD, but it will be all for nothing as the Rabbitoes will be too good. Ha ha
