  • wah ? no holdsworth on the bench.. must be pretty confident that noddy won't get injured during the course of the game
  • not as strong as us the bullfrogs
  • I love the fact that they have no utility on the bench. If a key playmekr get injured they are gooooone!!
  • full - weakness more like, i don't see any threats in their line up at all!
  • To be honest they are a lot like the Dragons in the way that they dont have alot of superstars and they just play well as a team. The dogs forward pack in particular shouldnt put too much fear in the Eels at all but the obvious threats are Kimmorley,Ennis,Morris,Idris and Roberts. If we play close to our potential and dont commit suicide by dropping too much ball we should win because i dont think the dogs best is anywhere near Parra or Melbourne.
  • Certainly they have gone for the big blokes, look at their bench. They probably wanna try to out muscle us and try to dominate in the forwards...key point being try.

Also, I don't think Kimmorley will play on Friday. Not that it will make any difference.
Really can't understand Holdsworth not being named on the bench.....seems to me a few mind games are being played here by the Dogs

Dogs won't come close to us on Friday night so long as we keep the intensity and attitude.

    Go the mighty EELS
  • i think they have a great pack and the match will be one between the battle of the packs.

cayless and fui have to fire. and mannah has to be able to keep the momentum that fuifui and caylo started......i think if fui plays like he did against the dogs last time, we will win because he gave us such an edge and allowed us to play a free flowing, 2nd phase play orientated style of football.

if FUIFUI fires the eels will find themselves in their first grand final in 8 years.

IF hannant doesnt get steamrolled this time, expect the dogs to dominate our forwards and eventually find the edges.

i'm not saying if fui is quite we lose straight away, but his contribution will be bigger than anyone's (even the chosen one)
  • haha that is a horrid bench. we just need to get up in their face and stop em before they get the legs pumping.

if we hold the ball and make the most of our opportunities i am quietly confident that we will be there come grand final!!

    soo exciting :D
    • lol, yeah the bench is shocking, cept gordon....but he hasnt done much in a while......
  • yep agreed they are going back to old school they are going to play this one up the middle thats for sure!!!!

HKF replied to Hector's discussion Young Joash papa extends
"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "
