  • Good test this week. Will be a close game I think, maybe our flair will get us the chockies.

  • Biggest pack in the comp. I think the new ruck rules with the emphasis on a quick release, will certainly hurt their chances.
    Close call.
  • Huge forward pack
    We need to keep possession
  • Formidable team. Geeze that's a good forward pack. Reynolds not playing will help them. They will be more clinical less erratic in attack.
  • Good forwards.
    Shithouse backline.
  • Common consensus, terrific forward pack.

Weaknesses, their new hooker. Lichaa for the moment doesn't have the presence that Ennis had. Hate as much as you want but Ennis was a big factor in the Dogs making it to the grand final last year, and another reason they went so porely in the GF without him.

Their backline is nothing special. I hope Arthur employs the same tactics as last week. I can really Peats and De Gois doing some damage against a tiring forward pack. Put De gois on at the 35 min mark again. We got a try off the back of him before half time last week.

    • if their backline is nothing special or shithouse what is ours? While I have no love for the bulldogs 3 SOO players a Samoan international a veteran and 2 rookies isn't too bad at all.
    • Totally , there were lots of metres to be made ....
  • Errors and penalties will kill us this week against this pack. The first 20mins is crucial, don't let them get a roll on and we'll be in the game well and truly. Massive weakness for the Bulldogs - ATTACk. Missing Reynolds and a new spine combination that was ordinary on Sunday. They barely got Morris involved in attack, so high pressure on him with ball in hand is important, his passing game at fullback isn't the best (as seen when he played there for Dragons). Lichaa is no Ennis and has a niggle so absolute #1 is match their forwards. If they get momentum they'll look like world beaters, if not we'll do what we did to Manly. Attitude and effort key early in this one.

  • Kicking long early in the tackle count and a quick defensive line will turn this big pack around and tire them out very easily.

"I really like Samrani but if JR decides to give him up for MB I think that is a massive mistake.
IMO Samrani should be 1st drop for either centre/ wing if one of our starters is out. Brian Kelly is bog average and not going to get better.
