Parramatta Eels supporters have for a long time had to deal with stories from Adrian Proszenko that have cast a shadow over the reputation of our great club. We know he has been fed these stories by certain black knights who are thankfully now on the periphery of our organisation and not in the engine room where they once belonged.
So I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry while I was watching the Sunday Footy Show just now when Manly's long-standing hooker Matt Balin was asked about a Proszenko report in the Sun Herald this morning linking Brisbane hooker Andrew McCullough to Manly for next season and suggesting Balin would be forced out of the club. The piece is here http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/matt-ballin-could-be-the-next-sea-eagles-favourite-forced-out-of-manly-20150307-13xyz1.html
Balin was furious and just shook his head and responded to Sterlo and Co by saying;
"I spoke with Manly CEO Joe Kelly this morning and he 100% guaranteed me that they haven't spoken with Andrew and there is no plans. I'm not sure where it came from so the reporter who wrote it.....I just wish they would have to say where they got their source from and it's not fair these things are dragged through the mud. I can definitely say it's not true."
So Proszenko strikes again - albeit not against our club - but it is clear this bloke makes a lot of stories up and in the process is fast losing the respect of the wider rugby league community. He lost our respect a long time ago.

Yeah the guys full of shit but at least he raises interest in the game and at the end of the day any publicity is good publicity.
I read his columns and then just laugh. That's the way to look at it, joke of the day.
Frank I don't have problems with rumours such as those from Moley & other stirrers but some of the Proszenko stuff has the intention of deliberately destabilising our organisation without any regards to the facts and knowingly sourcing the material from the black knights on the periphery of our organisation . It's the intent I have the problem with.
Prozenkos rep has taken a hammering recently so its not like anyone takes him seriously any more. As I said it gives us something to talk and laugh about.
I'm sure the players understand this too.
Add to that there was a report from Friday night that a section of the crowd applauded Roy Spagnolo when he arrived in the bay of the Ken Thornett Stand.
So unfortunately I'm not as confident as you about our overall fan base. That's why I blogged this to make fans aware.
