Do we really need a hooker on the bench?

1.jarryd hayne
2.luke burt
3.Timanah tahu
4.Krisnan inu
5.Eric grothe
6.Daniel mortimer
7.Jeff robson (yes jeff robson the chosen one)
8.Nathan Cayless
9.Matt keating
10.Justin poore
11.Nathan hindmarsh
12.Shane Shackleton
13.Feliti mateo
14.Joel Reddy
15.Ben Smith
16.Tim mannah
17.Fui Fui moi moi

If a half is injured either luke burt or Feliti mateo can easily slip into one of the play making roles so we dont really need a reserve half/hooker on the bench. And also id like to see moi moi run outwide more often like dave taylor cause he is so damaging out there example:When he scored that try in the grand final

  • yer but burt is to consistent and has a great combination with hayne
  • Melbourne storm do very well without a reserve hooker/half
  • Oh FFS, do we really need yet another idiotic team list thread??? I know its the offseason, but can't some of you just watch the cricket and desist with boring, boring team lists??
    • Don't be such a spoilsport!! We haven't done the teamlist for 2012 yet, or the teamlist in case Jarryd gets eaten by a shark!

Oh I know - we should do a 2025 teamlist - by then Buster, Archie and Rowdy Hindmarsh will be able to play back row! That team list practically writes itself!!
      • Maybe we can remind everyone that there is a Team List thread that exists on this site.

Its on the Right side of the Home Page people =)
    • Watch the A-League instead of the boring, boring cricket. :)
      • A league is ok. But cricket shits all over it!
    • I needed to put the teamlist in to illistrute my point
  • I reckon a back up hooker is a very good option on the bench as most hooker struggle to play 80 mins at high intensity in the modern game.

If you can bring on a good dummy half runner in the last 15 of either half they can really make some inroads like kingston did last year. I think Kris Keating would be ideal in that role if he is not chosen at halfback.

As for Moi Moi running a bit wider, I had this debate a couple of weeks ago and I argued for it but I accepted some points made by 1 Eyed that Moi Moi is also very useful in the middle of the ruck in the early exchanges. Maybe a compromise could be to have him start at prop, give him a rest and then in the second half have him come back in more of a second rower type role??
  • Has anybody else noticed that the bimonthly return of serial 'true parra fan' mutenchops just happened to coincide with that idiotic thread about Mateo signing with the Raiders??

    Curious...

"If there is no Deal with Galvin we should at minimum be putting out rumours we are interested in Sandon to take away some leveage I.Moses has over us.
Sandon is a really skillfull player so I wouldnt be dissapointed if we signed him instead."

"He didn't say anything about the old regime technically.Do you really think he would say anything negative about Ryles if he thought it?  More likely he is trying to lift the team as we are last at the moment. I think he does like Ryles, seems a lot…"
