There has been some speculation recently about the potential signing of Michael Jennings. There has also been lots of talk about the possible defection of Junior Paulo to Pricky's raiders. If signing Jennings means we have to release Paulo I say no way.
To win a comp you need that top notch front rower. 2015, Cowboys had Matt Scott, 2014, Souths had Burgess, 2013 Roosters had JWH and so on. Junior is on the up. If he gets a fair run at the judiciary in 2016 he will be in that elite class. I don't believe we have another front man better then him, we should fork out the cash to keep him.
Whilst Jennings is a proven performer, for mine he is risky. His numbers weren't as good in 2015 as they were in 2014, and his attitude has been questioned. I'd prefer that we developed our up & comers in the backs, play Gutherson and Taka in the centres and bring in Fariamo, French or even Schult on the wing.
Do you Agree or disagree ?

I say do everything we can to keep Paulo I don't care about jennings
You speak the truth Paul, I couldn't give 2 shits about Michael Jennings, in fact I think he is absolutely the wrong type of character to be bringing to the club at this point in time. It would bring me to tears however, seeing Junior playing for the raiders in 2017 rampaging through what's left of our flimsy forward pack.
Junior is destined to be in the elite class. What would someone like Burgess be on 800-900k? For mine a gun Front rower is as important as a gun half, your halves and backs are useless without them and you need one to win a comp. I say 600-650k for Junior in 2017 is on the money. Have the Raiders offered more.
Paying 600k or more for Junior is just the sort of cap antics that resulted in us failing to compete for half a decade. There is no doubting that Junior is talented but I would suggest your hypothetical deal is a comfortable 200-250k over the point where he offers the team decent value versus the cap at this point in his career (and perhaps ever).
