Do our players have self belief?

Believing in one's self and the players around you goes a long way in winning a title. How much of the team do you think has this. Game against the Storm the Eels lifted their game, maybe only because it was a superior opposition, but against the Cowboys the opposition showed they believed in victory. The Eels have the talent, skill and stamina, but struggle against a team they should beat. A coach can bring this mind set to a team, not only the players.

  • Yes mate totally agree we probably don't have the belief and haven't had it for many years hopefully this year is the springboard for better times, the QLD team has self belief whenever I watch origin as a NSW fan you are never confident as they find a way bit like what the Cowboys are doing and even when they won the GF they fought to then end
  • We never play well when favourites, typical Parra play great when there is no pressure on but when it matters were just shit the bed.

  • I think what they achieved this year against expectations will go a long way to building self confidence. If we can get some players in rep teams, that will be invaluable experience and should build on that mental resilience. Don't forget that teams on top now mostly have ageing players. We need to be the team to take over from them in the years to come.
  • Near the end of our season, we had tooo much self belief. Started believing our own press. We lost our way, our processes and thought all we had to do was show up. Remember the Newcastle game

  • The majority of the Cowboy team were premiership winners including 3 of their spine
Our spine - Norman and Moses half a season together and our hooker and fullback even less time together.
Cowboys are better than a lot of you guys think

  • Sorry I just have to disagree... We are a little short on the blue chip talent. With current players we will have some good wins but just won't compete in finals.
Need at least 2 big forwards urgently.
    • We will get those dont worry about that Fathead.

    • I really hope so snake because we are really just making up the numbers if we don't.
    • Yer couple of quality forwards are needed we need a player like JWH or similar hopefully Evans produces for us
