  • I think we definately have the team on paper, depending on if they can gel together well enough to make the 8 is a different story, i have faith tho lol
  • On paper and on the field are two different things. On paper we are top 8 team, on the field, depending on the attitude of the boys and how well they gel is the difference between making it or not. Nevertheless, I think we will be a top 8 team next season.
  • As fans, we can be guilty of either viewing the team through rose coloured glasses (so called unicorns) or through overly critical eyes (so called realists). Emotions get tied into being a fan, so we can be extreme in how we respond or view. Although I'm probably viewed by some as a bit of a unicorn, it's often because I choose not to blog when I'm angry!
Putting my glasses down for a moment, I see this as the opportunity to be a genuine 8 year. Like everyone else, I would have liked to see an additional back recruited, but I think that the players here can still do the job.
I reckon the forwards can match any team and I believe that the spine is the best we've had for a long time. I rate Arthur as a coach and he has built the team nicely. I think it's as simple as that personnel wise.
If we can be mentally tough enough, we can do it.
    • If he goes with Peats our spine is still suspect. Peats is a great defender but offers very little creativity in the attack department. I am going out on a limb here but if Peats play improves in attack we could be top four. If not top eight.
  • If the squad we have remains healthy, on paper, definitely top 8. However, the elephant in the room is defence, can BA finally get it right? If not than bottom 8!

  • It would be really good if we can unearth a new star, some young bloke who steps up and makes everyone take notice. Not sure whos even in contention but we seem to have been using the same shite as backups for so long it's time for some new blood . If everyone reaches thier potential this year we could be anything.
  • I think we may struggle in 2016!!!
    • Whys that?
  • This has been a consistent message from you Nick and you're on the money with it. Peats himself is aware of the need to step up in attack - to take the attack forward, to engage the defence, to offer variety. His line speed and tenacity in defence is an asset, but he'll need to deliver in attack this year.
    • I will be interested to hear your views in January about who out of King/Pritchard offers more spark in attack (if either). I think King could be really good if fit, but haven't seen him play much lately so hard to know if he has the speed. Remember PJ Marsh? He was awesome value off the bench with his darts. Same for Kingston in 09. I don't see IDG providing that and if Peats doesn't get injured, we could use Pritchard/King for their explosiveness after the 60min mark
