Week 1 of the District Representative Finals and both our Harold Matthews and SG Ball will feature in games today.
Our Harold Matthews squad completed the regulation season without a defeat to their name (8 Wins, 1 Bye) and proved to be emphatic victors more often then not on the back of some brutal defence and sparkling attack. They will taking on the Western Suburbs Magpies in the second fixture of the day (oddly enough) and have the hopefully unnecessary security of a lifeline this round.
The SG Ball squad on the other hand suffered a mid-season slump that saw them lose three games on the trot and very nearly bow out of contention for the finals. A raft of reinforcements and a timely bye proved to be enough to reignite the team though and consecutive thrashings of Manly and the South Western Sydney Academy of Sport teams secured them 5th spot. They will be playing host to the Cronulla Sharks, a team whom they accounted for comfortably in Round 2 but a fact that means little in sudden death footy.

Parra trail the Sharks 10-24
Some soft defence and decidedly one-way refereeing has seen the Sharks jump out to a healthy lead. We will be up against it in the second half but fingers crossed our boys can pull through.

Harold Matthews is a completely different result so far with our boys running the Magpies off the park 28-6 at half time. Josh Curran, PJ Vaigalu, Fililia Otoikamanu and Travis Turnbull have starred for mine.
