Dirty Souths, Not Tough.

I am absolutely gutted by how we lost yesterday.Souths engaged in dirty tactics the whole night and the refs did fuck all to penalise them. Our players were repeatedly attacked above the shoulders and I'm not talking one here or there, it was hands in the face every tackle. That is not tough football and should have resulted in penalties every time, followed by sin binnings if continued.Sterlo and his dopey offsiders said the Eels were gassed. No shit, because Kenny was taken off the field and several other players had to spend time off field due to the concussion rule. The refereeing just gets worse and worse. We all heard the pocket ref saying penalty, inglis on report, why the hell wasn't he put on report?IDG was chopping burgess down, so they head hunted him.Semi gets knees to the head, all good play on.nrl is a joke, if you want to keep players safe, then enforce the rules dickheads. The biggest kick in the guts, has to be losing off a forward pass, when cummins was in line with the pass.Face it people, we are not going to be given a chance to play finals footy.

  • The refs didn't lose us that game. We lost it ourselves. We won the penalty count 10-5 and had 56% possession. The Jennings to Semi try was even more forward than their last try. We got a lucky forced line drop out when gutherson clearly knocked on.

We lost because Wixks can't hold onto the ball (3 errors), Tautai and Gutherson have no trust or communication in defence and our kick options in the 2nd half were poor. And we let go of our best hooker. De Gois offers nothing in attack and had 5 missed tackles in the middle of the field. Also Foran MIA

    • Aveel, why the hell would you let facts get in the way of a good rant.
We all know the turning point was when Norman kicked on the third.
No, fűck it, we were robbed by the refs, all those head shots added up, Aveel you're a dìckhead too #rant4life.
    • How many high shots lead to concussions and bloody noses? That's my only question to anyone that says ref didn't cost us the game. How many players did we have on the bench for most of the second half? Intent, dirty tactics bin should have been used.
    • I think Aveel summed it up nicely. It's a tough game, no excuse to whine if the opposition roughs you up. Play the whistle. Inglis carved up Toutau and Gutho and we did run out of steam. At one point with about 10 to go we had repeated sets off our line unable to get out of quarter. Foz probably would have been there at first receiver. Where was Norman? He played well but for the coin he wants, he needs to win us those games.
    • Love the rough stuff too... But leading with the knees to semi was over the top ... Whether at speed or not.. The jerk still lead with the knees... Why did t beau or wicks go ape shit when the rabbits were going hard???we need mongrel and I thought wicks brought theta but not last night
  • On NRL app it said a accidental forearm was what caused us to loose Kenny for the rest of the game. Feking what a forearm was used to drive his head as hard as possible into the ground so he ended up knocked out cold. If you see the force used there was every bit of intent. Are they feking serious. They said on tv that it didn't even go on report? Next game ram Inglis head into the ground with a forearm as hard as possible so he does not get back up then see if it will be swept under the carpet. Boys played well and ran out of players on the bench. Ropable last night, great effort boys.
    • Davo all your comments on this, sum it up well. Their line speed was blistering, came out a bull at a gate and aided by the refs allowing what they did go unchecked. Realistically should've issued a warning for repeated similar offences and a penalty or five was a cheap price to pay for stuffing up of our rotations and bench. It was obviously gonna cost us towards the back end of the game, with the platform laid and them hitting as fast and hard as they did also.

Reckon anybody that didn't see It was all about messing up our bench, is over compensating for their BnG coloured glasses.

Thought the boys did fantastic, tried their hearts out against a super pumped side who've had the good fortune of having the last two weeks earmarking this game as THE one, whilst we've had the last two weeks.
Souths would've rolled most sides with the way they played last night and the tactics they employed.

I'm glad we got the first game of our new season out the way and I'd be putting the house on us next week :)
  • Inglis deserves to get a couple of weeks for that elbow. Commentators blaming the ground.
  • Knee to Semi's face straight after he scored should have been a foul if not professional foul if not for a split second.
    • X2

"Damn it HKF, I was gonna ask where did Didly Squat come from to look them up.
Next you'll say Hock isn't coming."

"I am not too disheartened by that. If we got him then great but he is 29, having a few injuries and though a really good Winger he is an average Centre. I would rather Murray Taulagi."
