Ding Dong that witch is dead!

We can now go back to supporting our  team without the doubts that so many fans have had.

Who choked at the end? the standard was so high it was remarkable the completions of both sides was extraordinary.

Whilst I assume Waqar was injured it was a masterstroke to put Niukore in the centres, he played a fair bit of centres in Reserves a few years back. Congratulations to the coach with no (supposedly) imagination came up with the strategy. The young fella that would normally have replaced Waqar would have been murdered in those conditions. No disrespect to him!

The new challenge is now consistencty, we probably now need to start building on the belief we can beat any side and approach every game like we did in the second half of the Broncs game and the whole 80 minutes ...yes 80 minutes in this game. Not 55, 65 but the whole 80.

I might finish by saying if the referee gave us the latitude that Storm received we could have put a big score on them. Our desperate defence was accentuated by the ref putting Melb in that field position.

  • Not sure what happened to Waqa, saw him on crutches though.
Our defense with Nikoure in the centres was remarkably better, he has played centres in his junior days as well.

Makes one wonder if we have unearthed a centre option or did the big wet even things out.

    • Hard to say BE, tradionally we are not good in slippery conditions. I think the ref had more influence than the wether.

    • I love Marata but I wouldn't want to see him there on a dry track

  • Waqa out for 4-6 weeks

    • Don't forget George was coached by BA Lol

  • So, any complaints about this game?

  • Good positive blog, Poppa. Let's hope this is the start of a mentally tougher Eels outfit when the pressure is on, and they can ice the big moments. Time will tell.

  • So proud of em hey. Best win in resent memory. Great confidence builder for the rest of the season.

"I put money on us for the spoon after the first few rounds. But I don't think we'll get it now. Titans wil probably get it. We have Moses returning and a few winnable games, at least 2 more wins. "
