I generally judge a coach by the condition he leaves the club in when he departs. Ricky has pretty much destroyed every team he's touched.
Did he only sign a 2 yr deal? Hopefully we can get him back at the end of his contract.
In no way am I defending Ricky here but there's one thing he needs to do ASAP and that is get rid of his mate Dean Pay as defensive coach. Whatever he is coaching them is not working. Pay was defensive coach for us in 2013 and we all know how many points we leaked that year... It just goes to show just because you are good at doing something you won't necessarily be able to teach others how to do it. In the same way some great players have been mediocre coaches whereas bog standard players like Bennett and Bellamy have turned out to be decent coaches
