Did we dodge a bullet?

JH, He's a great player but he's only good for highlights packages.BA built a blue collar team with a sprinkling of quality players who bought into the blue collar ethos.BA will rebuild the team and we now have the $'s to allow BA to recruit hard workers (not w@nkers).In BA I trust, let's look forward not back.Good luck JH ($ can't buy a good nights sleep and a clear conscience)

  • Dodge a bullet?? Players like Hayne don't come around all that often. So let's stop lying to ourselves. I'm cut hard and I'm sure every eels supporter is as well.
    • im with you on that one. It was one thing to see him run off overseas to play a different sport, i could cop that.

Seeing him run around in the NRL in a different jersey is bitter pill to swallow.

The club is to blame - his return to the club should've been an easy one. it wasn't and thats because of the lack of leadership.

    • It's hurts and I'm hurting hard. This for some reason has affected me a lot. I always had faith that Hayne would be back in blue and gold. Our club is a joke and I have literally given up hope.
  • I hope we sign Lolohea from the Warriors.
  • Blue collar team, but most of them have moved on. Parra isn't the same side that started the year off well.
  • Maybe our offer to Jarryd was indicative of how important BA sees him as being to our club. Jarryd obviously thinks otherwise. Personally I am really pleased that we didn't go forking out heaps to get him back, so this puts us in a really good salary cap position going forward. Only issue now is bringing the right players to our club.

On a side note I think what's going on at the Titans is great for us and the NRL in general. The competition needs a strong competitive team on the Gold Coast. It also shows how fast your fortunes can turn so there is hope for us and we probably won't have to wait too long either.

  • I agree brissyeel
