I will say he tried hard tonight, but is he the answer? Eels at less than half strength beat them, now broncos as well, who are missing plenty. Does this show how well the dogs are really going?
Did eels dodge a bullet?

No, Galvin isn't the problem at the dogs, well he is part of it but he shouldn't be. He was not and is not ready to be the 7 for a team that was/is good enough to compete for the comp.
It was a bad decision on Galvin's part to take the dogs offer over the eels, I'm convinced he was talked into it by his former school boy coach who is at the dogs.
The eels was the perfect situation for Galvin, playing second fiddle to moses in a team with low to moderate expectations in regards to winning the comp in his first couple of years was the perfect scenario for Galvin to grow into the players he can be.
Galvin struggles to pass right or left while trying to strengthen the attack. He needs to turn his hips and top half to pass. It's why you see alot of his passes miss the mark.
Galvin is quality and would have complimented Moses beautifully. Bulldogs got greedy and trying to use him as a 7 is ridiculously dumb. I think Galvin screwed up not coming to us
Let's be honest the dogs spine is horrendous. They have 2 x 6's that they're trying to make work. They're also trying to manufacture a 9 in Hayward. Conner Tracy is a good footballer but is probably well down if you were to rate fullbacks. They have a great squad of players but are struggling to make it all fit together

Agree completely.
This. 100%
dead right.
Yup. He can be a 7 but when he's 26 or 27 not now.

The dogs problem is they have two left side 5/8's. Galvin would have been great for us, he is a natural 5/8 with a decent running and defence game.

I think the plan all along was for him to be 6 or 13 with Woods as 7. They just felt get him in now and work it out later.
It showed that the Dogs are a team that thrive with a simple Halfback like Sexton.
