As part of my university course I completed a rather detailed analysis of the club's response to the salary cap saga. I am studying a communications degree and as such my analysis covers the club's response in a communications sense. ie: what they did right/wrong, where they stuffed up and what they could've done to avoid the issue evolving into a crisis. The document is rather large and as such I've uploaded it as an attachment as it's simply too long to paste into this blog. It is full of industry jargon and references to theoretical communications frameworks, most of which I explain. If you just want the bare bones of it, an abstract is below. Otherwise, attached is the 3,000 word document. Any questions regarding the analysis feel free to ask.
The Parramatta Eels National Rugby League Club was involved in a crisis regarding its salary cap during the 2015 season. A review ordered by the club revealed the breaking of the salary cap for a period of years prior to 2015 with the club self-reporting to the National Rugby League (NRL). A poor communications strategy allowed the issue to develop into a crisis with the media filling the gap in official communication with rumours and innuendo. The addition of issues with marquee recruit Kieran Foran's contract and the resignation of CEO Scott Seward further contributed to the crisis. The club utilised an outdated communications model and failed to regularly update its stakeholders. The crisis could definitely have been managed better and, in fact, been prevented.

The releasing of Hayne to the NFL allowed us to be under the cap for 2015.
You can if you want to. I have no issues if the club wants to take a look at my analysis.
I give it a Distinction.
I hope your lecturer is a league follower.
Actually received a High Distinction and in a strange coincidence my tutor is a Parramatta fan.
That's great.
Recommend uploading in PDF/A standard instead of word format.

It's saved on my pc as a Word Doc, hence why I uploaded it as such.

Revision control is critical for documents that are distributed, just some friendly advice.
