Des Hasler would be a step backwards people

Im the 1st person to call for BAs heaf ive had enough but seriously when looking at pptions you can't consider Des look at how hes left manly and the Dogs they both end up with salary cap pressure with ridiculous back ended deals. For me the best option is Kevin Walters im jot opposed to a rookie coach jyst needs to be the right one.A hard nose coach like Neil Henry would be good.Michael Maguire i think is to similar to BA but would be worth a shot.Brian Smith would be good to but i dont think he wants a 1st grade job.

  • Agree.
Are there any up and comers???
    • Thats a good question Luke Burt did good with the NYC team now hes at the titans. Jim Dymock got a few wraps in the past none really come to mind
  • Kevin Walters would be perfect
    • untested mate. We don't need that again. Better to bide our tide until someone tried and true becomes available.

    • could tip us into some good young Qlanders, and he's apparently very popular amongst the players but i'm tipping he will replace W Bennet eventually

  • Justin Holbrook is doing an excellent job at St Hellens. Took our under 20s deep into the finals.
    Could do worse
    • Thats not a bad shout

      • Wong im glad we could agree on something. Nothing personal with us. Just good discussion

      • Wong he was an assistant of ours doing analysis and a bit of halves stuff  , however the Roosters poached him when BA told him that he wasn’t inline to become the 2IC . Trent Robinson made Holbrook his right hand man until St Helens grabbed him .

Holbrook won’t come back for anything less than the top job at an NRL club . It won’t be long before another club snaps him up .

Have you ever not stolen something you’ve posted on here  Cheify ?..

I’ve said it a few times and I’ll say it again , the next NRL club target will be Justin Holbrook it probably won’t be us cause Bernie is to old and dumb to spot an up and comer but I’d bet more then one club will be sniffing Holbrook out in the very very near future . His records speak for themselves . Wherever he goes success follows , he’s done it with bush footy multiple times at multiple clubs , at NSW Cup level , at Under 20s and now at ESL level as a head coach . Everywhere he’s gone he’s taken broken teams and turned them into premiership contenders and winners . He’s been an NRL team 2IC at The Roosters , he’s coached the under 20s National team , he’s won multiple premierships coaching Canterbury NsW cup , he took a bum Eels 20s team into the semis , and now he’s taken St Helens to the top of the table .

He should be our target .
