Defence wins the big games

It has been a long time since I have seen a Parramatta team defend like tonight,

Everyone of the 17  played believed in BA defensive structure.

Our scramble on the was unbelievable

Physically we smashed them

1 in all in

Love it

  • I'll go one step further......without GREAT defense you will lose.

But the secret winners are DISCIPLINE (through on field Leadership).....silly mistakes, penalties, drop balls, etc minimised - Parra certainly have made MASSIVE strides in the last 2 weeks

and LAST PLAY options....keeping the opposition under the pump, especially well placed pressure kicks...

Both of these + defense keep the pressure on...defense keeps the castle protected but DISCIPLINE and LAST PLAYS are the polish that earns the victory

Parra have been outstanding in ALL 3 critical, match defining and winning phases in the past 2 weeks

  • Our defence has been the most pleasing part about our evelution into a serious footy team. That old saying is true "defence wins games/premierships", attack will find away to get through by tiering the opposition out. The Eels will go a long way to making the finals and winning a premiership if they keep defending the way they have been.
  • We have frustrated teams into making mistakes with our prodigious defence. Agree with everything written here by you and Tele.
