Stone only played about 15 minutes at the end. Very early days, but he seems only a depth player at best unfortunately. I think he might be one of those players who looked great in underage footy, but might struggle at the next level. He seems to be a bit of a tweener, not big enough to play as a middle, not athletic enough to play on an edge and not skilled enough as a dummy half.
Kaufusi was OK, too early to make a judgement on him either. I don't think he is going to be as good as Niukore though.
Very early to say on either player as they were only on a very short time and the game itself was strange at best. In think they both have great potential but just pack the experience. Hopefully both players will get more opportunities.
Think they both are not yet ready Oregon needs to get bigger Stone does not look near being a dummy half
Don’t think stone will make it hope I’m wrong Oregon should be there Some time next year
Cameron Smith or Cook wouldn't have done anything for us playing alongside 5 rookies & a forward pack missing 7 starters & bench players - Alvaro,Evans,Ma'au,T-Rex,Mannah,Scott&Edwards. We played with our 4th & 5th choice hookers last night.
Stone looked energetic, but again, lacks size. What is it with this Club breeding small forwards?
Stone might be too small for lock/2nd row, but he's young & will pack on some extra muscle over time.
Maybe that's why we're trying to mould him into a dummy-half?
Oregon will eventually be a beast. He already was in his age group & destroyed QLD in the Under 20's State of "OREGON" ;)
I don’t think it’s a muscle thing with Stone, he already looks pretty well developed physically, he’s just a small frame. I think if he is going to have a future he might have to model himself on someone like Jamie Buhrer.
