Dear Mr. Fong

Dear Mr Fong

I'd like to take issue with a couple of what I believe to be inaccuracies in your last post:

..if you take a honest look at the season and the team and the fact the eels have only put in 2 good performances for the whole season…

This is as wrong-headed a statement as can be made by sane person. First grade rugby league isn’t a game of Chinese checkers or a stroll along the Great Wall with your favourite concubine, Mr Fong. Every time they go onto the park, every player has to physically exert themselves and employ skills far beyond what I or you and a couple of hundred of your relatives could manage in a month. No 1st grade game of footy is a stroll among the hibiscus; it’s a mini-war where blokes put their health and safety, their future physical condition and their skills, pride and self respect on the line in front of ten of thousands of people. Parramatta won 16 first grade competition games this year and not one of them was a stroll beside the Yangtse.

So, I’ve noticed over the years that you’re a pretty handy performer anonymously, in print, Mr. Fong. How are you at performing live in front of an audience of thousands who are watching your every move?

Moses made a (sic) utter fool of himself last night

Not in my eyes he didn’t, and not in the eyes of thousands of Parra fans who watched him play against a finals-experienced/hardened team, some of who are 10, 20 and even 30 kg’s heavier than him, and he never gave an inch and he never stopped trying. The combined weight of the North Queensland Cowboys pack that were thundering at him all night? 632kg.

When Mitch Moses guided Parra to a win against Melbourne in their second to last meeting, at one stage he ran into a line of charging forwards (Melbourne pack: 638 kg’s) and, at exactly the right moment, expertly chipped a little grubber in behind them, which led to a try. In the process, for his efforts he was absolutely creamed by one of the hulking Melbourne forwards. Neither you, Mr. Fong, or I or any other of the commenters on this site, would have gotten up for a week. Mitch got up at kicked the goal to cap the try. Mitch Moses is as good a player, as brave, smart and skilled, as any in the competition; only his age and inexperience at finals footy separate him from the best.

Parramatta will not win no (sic) premiership with both Corey Norman and BA….. I will not see the Eels win a comp in my lifetime.

If you really believe that Mr. Fong, then you're not really a Parramatta Rugby league team supporter and really, you’re just hanging around the One Eyed Eel to vent your spleen and sneer, smear and snarl at anyone who contradicts you. Because no-one can be absolutely sure that their team will be Grand Final winners. When Ben Hunt dropped the kick off and handed the Cowboys the 2015 Premiership on a plate, afterwards, he knelt and wept, the same as Kenny Edwards broke down after the last Melbourne game.

The game of Rugby league is eighty minutes of the toughest sport, second not even to boxing, Mr. Fong, and no-one is guaranteed victory, ever. That’s why Parra fans never stop being fans and don’t trash their team or its coach. Because they love the courage and skills of the Parramatta Rugby League team and have commitment, hope and faith and desire, the same as their team, that they can win.

And they’ll never stop.

  • Don't give that fool too much attention, he feeds of it. He was in support of our club last week, including BA. He has his little entourage around here that will jump to his defence because they are just as sad as he is.he was adamant the Storms will beat us 20+ last week, that he put his membership on the line, then he comes out and says something about a later date to buy himself some time.

To put it short, he is just pathetic and feeds of the attention he gets around here. I also forgot to mention the mods are too scared to give him the same punishment they would give everyone else.
    • Who is his entourage whos just as sad as him?

You sound like fong has the better of you mate.

  • LOL

  • Hear, hear Waldoh...You and a few others are starting to give me hope for this site...

and those high opiniated, expletive laden no hopers on this site can move on to another club...Max their hero is a Wests Tigers supporter..they can move over there....

  • Ok Frankie I will raise you with Max your hero and lets see if your comments are right...

  • As a quick aside Frankie Fong my enquiry re you is already with Max and Bevan Paul...lets see what their response is.

  • Hahaha look at you Waleed, riding on fongs coat tails, youve just turned up out of nowhere to start putting the boot in like a coward.

Couldnt you have said this in his blog?

Im seeing some signs of a real coward in you mate, and one who needs a platform.

You joined straight up and started on Fong, after he'd got his bet wrong, plenty of big talk from you and fake bravado.

    • Used to think the fong was okay snake but me thinks the lady doth protest too much.
  • No one is keeping you here you fekking dope. On your scooter and fu@k off like you have been told.
  • Why do we need to dwell on him, he had plenty to say about the team & BA and he admitted he was wrong. As far as I know he gave a date & he will move on. To this day I really don't know if he ever did follow the Eels or the Roosters as many believed, but he has some knowledge of this game. Our season was a success as far as I'm concerned. Last year was a nightmare but BA took us to the top four after we had to release players under NRL orders. A top four to build on is a great way to go into 2018, I'm sure all the squad will be more determined to go a step closer to that trophy, as a supporter I'm extremely proud of what this admin & coaching staff has done after such a difficult 2016. Our future looks great, our club moving forward. I was at the game last night and I could see the passion in our army once again, great feeling seeing so many little kids wearing a little jersey. Enjoy your off season I'm looking forward to some positive news over the next couple of months. But I'm extremely confident BA taking us closer to this elusive title, and when we win.... Look out!
