Watched him closely in last 20 minutes of game last night. He was probably sharks best player. Every pass was hitting people's chest, he was getting out and passion g at the line and pushing through for back up looking for second phase offload s. Good signing
Running on old tired legs but the football brain is still there. He will certainly hold his own and keep the momentum flowing . Think they did a great job getting him.
Seemed fine to me. No hard hits like peats. But wasn't falling off.
Does anyone know if De Gois is one of the players being investifated by ASADA?
While i like having a decent back-up hooker for us for the next two years i am actually a little surprised he did sign for two years. He signed with eels because he hasn't been able to stay in the first grade team. What does he think is going to happen next year when Peats gets back?
De Gois was at Newcastle in 2011. So he should be in the clear :)
You can be sure of one thing, the Eels administration never thought of the possibility that De Gois may an ASADA target. Two years is too long. As Paul Taylor said, he is running on old tired legs. Cronulla pick Johnny Morris ahead of De Gois for first grade. Could have got him for one year --2015 plus remainder of this year--with an option for another year.
Even if true,at the speed ASADA work, IDG will be whittling wood on his front porch by the time they catch up with him.
Well said macybrown. We can all sleep well tonight.
