De Gois to retire? Last game this weekend?

I was just reading the team list prelude and came across this line "and farewell the 2015 season as well as our departing and retiring players."

Is De Gois definitely finishing a year early? This is the first official word I've heard from the club.

We all expected it but this may be official

(or as Miatch pointed out, they may be referring to Champion)

  • Ahh yeah, I was just thinking about those who were playing.

I farewelled Chanpion and Fa' aoso months ago, the poor buggers.
  • Welcome to the Eels Farrah!
    • Hope de gois is not retiring , still got a lot to give imo
  • and been one of our best buys as well

  • Cmon Miatch, you ruined all the fun and speculation. You should stick to endorsing Chips =D!

  • I hope not. When Peats is injured, IDG more than earns his keep. He may not be a show pony but very consistent & a real worker in the middle. Don't forget that Peats has been injured quite a bit since he has been with us including last season as well as 2015. Also glad that Cody Nelson is with us.

    • Peats and pritchard combo next year. I love it. Bring it on!
  • Lol IDG has done as good if not better than Peats AGAIN this year.
Peats' injuries are a major reason but the fact remains....he has.
Great defender and an astute buy by BA because we would have been stuffed without him.
Peats and Pritchard are bandage boys unfortunately.
  • His only 30
  • IDG has been a very astute purchase. Apart from his short time off the field due to his facial injury, he has been a reliable part of the team. He has only had one blemish ( the Tigers game - his first game back after an early return from injury) and possibly brings our attack into the game more than Peats. If he ever stays injury free, Pritchard is really rated by the coaching staff. He is still seen as a part of the team going forward.
