darcy Lussick on the outer

Darcy Lussick is on the outer at Parramatta it appears there’s no way back. At one point those close to him say he wasn’t paid, an odd thing given Parramatta’s willingness to splurge in recent times.Lussick is in demand, but he is likely to head back to Manly next year. Those close to him feel the Eels are trying to push him out this year through a breach of contract. He had scheduled a dinner with Daly Cherry-Evans one night, only to be told shortly before he was to meet DCE that he had an Eels function to attend, and that he would be in breach of his contract if he didn’t go. The same message was given to him about arrival times before a game. He was required to arrive three hours before kick-off.Lussik was shovelled into NSW Cup without the fuss associated with Chris Sandow – and duly copped a four-game suspension. Things could not be going worse and Manly is not an option this year as they can’t squeeze him under their salary cap.

  • Again parramatta being painted negitively in the media with story after story!
  • Boo hoo Darcy!!!  He's been munching on our cap for 3 years and offering very little.  He won't be missed.

  • To make matters worst I have it on good authority that he is the second highest paid player in our club, they re ranged his contract so he will be paid a motsa this season.
  • I bet if mannah was on the market no nrl club would be knocking.
  • If he goes (or any other top 25 player for that matter) mid season, does that allow us to promote a 2nd tier player to the top squad for the rest of the year?
    • Basically. But its never as easy as that.
  • How dare we as club that pays him big $$$$ ask him to attend a team function than than have dinner with his mate.
  • I for one love Lussick but no big loss according to some as we have SO MUCH TALENT in the front row already.
We have a habit of always over rating our side. Mannah, Jnr, Terepo and Wicks. The only two worth keeping there is Jnr and Wicks. Lussick is better than the other two hands down. If you don't think so let's see how much interest he attracts on the open market.
    • Frank I agree he is better than the ones you mentioned but not at the price he demands and is getting paid for.
    • Hard to see tep play there week in week out, and given his speed I like him on the edges.
