Daniel Tupou

Hi all, I heard today that the roosters have told Tupou and his management that he is free to talk to other clubs. They just re-signed SKD on a 2 year deal and have thrown 400k a season at Johnston.I know he has had a pretty rough season, but I for one, am a pretty big fan of the kid and id love him at the club. Let's not forget he was one of the best wingers in the game last season, which saw him earn representative (NSW) honours.He is still only 23 years old, and most importantly, he is a PARRA JUNIOR! IMO, He would be a huge upgrade over Robinson/Toutai/Morgan/Farimo.Thoughts?

    He's only an option for us if you think he can play centre. Can he make that move? Dunno

      Personally, I'd like to see Folau play centre. I don't see him as a winger, but he definitely has to be in Parras plans. I think Centre will beat suit him. Tupou/Semi would be a BIG and lethal wing combo. If you are saying centre, who is your other wing option?

      Folau has shown nothing to show he is a regular first graders

      Brad, Folau is only 20 and has played less then 10 first grade games. How on earth can you determine is future based on half a dozen games? He hasn't done a whole lot wrong and has shown a decent amount with ball in hand. Not sure what you expect from a kid just starting out in his career ...!

      Plenty of fringe wingers, aside from semi, Tupou is a class above any winger on our roster.

     Tupou is off contract at the end of the year. Why would he need the Roosters permission to talk with other clubs?

      I think it's more the case of them informing them that they won't re-sign him therefore, talk to other clubs. Perhaps a friendly way to say fu*k off, we don't want you..
