Bravo, what a mature desicion morts has made..............
the bulldogs didnt want him as a kid but the eels did and nurtured him to the player he is today by coming through the ranks,
this is a good sign of a level head.
The bulldogs are just the morons we all expect them to be, trying to pressure the kid into signing by throwing the mortimer/bulldogs history in his face, so screw them, i am so glad he signed with us and not bow to the turncoats the dogs are.
i am also glad his father did not pressure him either but he did state that although the dogs and the Mortimer name have a big history it was the eels that looked after him.
so to say the least i am very happy on 2 counts....
1, that he is staying an eel
2, he threw egg on all those moron faces back at the dogs (screw them)
Mate you have some of your information wrong there.
The bulldogs never rejected Mortimer as a kid, the Mortimers rejected the Bulldogs.
When the Dogs first tried to get Morts at Harold Mats/SG Ball level, they still had Sonny Bill, Willie, Reni Maitua et al running around for them. Peter Mortimer (dans old man) didn't like the way the club was being run at that stage (pre Todd Greenburg) and didn't want daniel growing up in the company of the above mentioned players. Thus he made Daniel trial with us instead and the rest is history.
"Easily cmon HKF the coach is the fall guy in how we are setup all there doing is changing the face at the top of the cliff.Everyone else is a support mechanism who answer to a HCs decision making around the FG side.
Nevermind what's going on…"
