  I remember when Canterbury said "We cannot have a Mortimer playing for Parramatta" and they offered him $500,000 a season. In hindsight we should of taken the money.
  
  To his credit he won a premiership with Eastern Suburbs in 2013.

  Geez that went quick. It only feels like yesterday when he was that fresh face youngster and all the experts on here were saying a young Albert Kelly was better and we picked the wrong player to promote into first grade. Ah the memories.

  I thought Mortimer's kicking game in 2009 was a massive contribution to our revival that year, all he did was kick for the corners and build pressure...……. Much like what Moses did in 2017.
  
  Mortimer wasn't loaded with ability but you always had confidence in him giving 100%...… that's more than I can say about our current lot.
