DA looking over his shoulder

Let me start this by saying I am a massive DA fan and want him to stay at the club for an extended period.

HOWEVER !

DA will be hearing the jungle drums beating after 2 losses to the Sharks a poor start to the season with key players clearly playing worse this year than in previous years.

In fact it would be hard to single out many of the current side for playing better. 2 players you could build a case for are Horo and Mannah but that is more that they are rookies coming through. The rest of the players have gone backwards individually: Poore, Tahu, Morts, Inu, Mateo, Matt K, Fui Cayless and Ben Smith.

Some like Luke Burt and Hindy are just champions who keep putting in each week. Theses guys are the rock of our side.

I would predict Ricky Stuart to coach NSW in 2011 and the Eels in 2012. This is not a good thing as Stuart is a grub and only half the intellect of DA. But results speak. At present the Eels play a solid defence no offence game of NRL. Our attack is non existant. Our pressure is zero. With no serious player options in Wenty and our NYC team at the bottom of the ladder DA has no solutions in the lower grades. It gets ugly from here ! and the pressure will be intense.

When do we investigate our NYC performance ? We are a disgrace in that comp given our proud junior tradition.

  • Glad you brought to Nyc issue up. We seem to make grand finals and semis in every grade so what happens with our toyota cup side. Saints, Melbourne and Penrith have shown how important having a good NYC team is, bringing in players who seem to fit in well with the nrl boys when needed. don't think anyone in our current NYC team would have a chance in the NRL.
    • Im a supporter of DA. But if there is a coach out there to replace him if it comes to that it has to be stephen kearney. He has the NZ playing better then they ever have and has had experence coaching with bennett and bellamy. 2 of the best caches of all time. We need someone whos going to work with the players to become better not have a go and criticise players like stuart and DA are renowned for.
  • DA and all the other coaches at parra except Kenny are school teachers and have that school teacher dictatorship mentality that wears thin on adult players very quickly
  • I actually thought Poore played well last night... best game for him all year
  • I think Daniel Anderson is a great coach and with him in charge we are in great hands.
All we need is a few more wins and some consistency and everyone will be off his back. Nobody was calling for his head when we beat the Dogs, Bunnies, Cowboys and Manly.

Now for a complete backflip within my reply.....
Our strength this year is our defense. You've got to think that all credit for this needs to go to our defensive coach Peter Sharp.
    • I think you are getting carried away with this blog, where is your faith in DA and the boys?

There is no way DA would be looking over his shoulder now, especially for a pathetic excuse for a coach like Stuart.
  • I would like to see a guy like Brett Kenny coaching the eels.
    • No thanks. Listening to him talk footy on fox for a few years was bad enough
  • Stuart's results speak??? HOW? Where are the Sharks at the moment?
  • DA shouldnt be looking over his shoulder !!!!!

The guy Coached the side to last years G/F what that matters nothing?

This blog is the biggest load of BS i've ever heard!!!!!

But I ve heard shit and lots of it too!!!!!!! something about dynasty theories and all th rest of it yeah right !!!!!!
