D

Loved the defence last seasonVave Matagi and Frank will help our attack(which could indirectly help our defence)But will the addition of these forwards weaken our defence?

  • Maybe ...maybe not. Only time will tell.

Ricky might be able to give us some stats around these guys D that will let us know what to expect.

I saw some video of Matagi smashing people in tackles so at least he hits hard.

  • Vave has a tackle success of 95% which is comparable with Mannah (96%) and Danny Wicks (93%). Matagi slightly lower at 91%.

  • Thanks
They all can hit hard but heard their defence criticised e.g. Lazy or lapses. Never looked closely enough to know
Even if not perfect in the past hopefully BA will have it covered
  • This is where our depth shines if they fail in d BA will drop them we have the replacements which will.make them work in it that much harder tipping us to struggle in the first 12 rounds and power home with wins towards the end if the season
    • That will be a change
So far under BA we have always had a great first half and fallen away I the second half of the season
  • They bring aggression. They need to control it and play with discipline. I think it's a positive
  • Snake loves the "D" as well.

    • Our D was pretty soft until BA got here
I know Snake thinks Semi will be Semi but even Semi has hardened up
  • last season we didn't fade off at the end we did bloody god considering everything that happened and the players we had left

  • The fact that they are better known as attacking players is exactly what we need.
BA will make sure they can defend, that won't be an issue. It's our attack that needed strengthening.
