Curtis Scott signs with Parramatta on a one year deal

Parramatta have thrown a lifeline to Curtis Scott, sercuring his services until the end of 2022. Not sure what they are planning here unless he is to play wing or Blake to wing but we will see, Scott has always had talent let's hope we have the best locker room for him, but if it didnt work at Melbourne how can it anywhere else. Let's hope he is a star.

  • Excellent pick up. Everything to gain and nothing to lose.

    Well done to the club.

    • I think the club has a good history in recent years of transforming players from twits to quality, a few exceptions were the case with some of the players but the club gave them a lot of chances.  If Scott works with the eels, he could be a vital signing.

I read recently that Sivo was looking to playing RU oveseas, when the new season starts in mid year, I hope that happens and Scott would likely be taking his spot.

  • Talented players just needs to stay of the piss

  • I'm wondering if Ennis played a part and Mary McGregor can work with him on his defense. Could be the buy of the year.

  • Good depth in the centre position now at the club with four players who can play in this position, allows some flexibility with Blake a potential wing option. I don't personally see Scott, Opacic or Penisini as wing options.

Agree this is a low risk option as he'll be here on minimum wage and if he stuffs up again then he'll be shown the door quite quickly.

    • Penisni to the wing I would say

        • So is Scott

        • Agreed Mick.

      • Nope! Penisini will be one of the first blokes picked in the side in 2022.

Now, take this with a grain of salt, but, reading the comments on the James Hooper's blog, one of the comments stated that the Roosters planned to 'quietly' release Joseph Su'uali to Union for the 2023 season on account of the fact that he's "not the player they thought he was".

If that were true, it would be a lot less likely that the Roosters could successfully pinch Penisini as many on here fear.

          • What I mean is, sure, they'll have money to throw at him (they have money to throw at anyone because they don't operate under a salary cap), but, Penisini will see how badly they treated his best mate - and - he will have no extra motivation to go there to play with his mate (who, in this hypothetical scenario, is playing Rugby).
