Does any one have an appetite for former Raiders bad boy Curtis Scott. There is talk that he may be joining the Eels on a cut price basement deal. It's been reported by the Telegragh that Curtis has undergone Psychiatric treatment  and attended Alcoholics Anonymous in a desperate bid to return to the NRL since his sacking in May after a night club incident. It appears that our club are seriously looking at him to put pressure on our current centres Penisini and Waqa Blake for a first grade position.
Our club seem to have some success with these types of signings, boys on their last chance wagon looking for redemption. Personally I think it's a good move to increase competition for a centre spot at our club, what are peoples thoughts on Curtis joining our club.

  • Nothing wrong with serious Psychiatric help and easing  off the piss, I'll  give it a thought when I hit 90.

    • Finally something I can relate to.....Thanks Seth....for the memories, seems like yesterday.....hang on ....it was yesterday, looking forward to Tuesday......may have a racing holiday next saturday.....had a big Spring Carnival, first 4 28% and 12%  and Trifecta 50% and 30% in the cup Al....definately worth a drink or two over all the suckers that believe Climate Change is going to happen LOL.

  • This bloke had the talent , but didn't use the brain. I'm not sure how old he is now, however having been working on the tools in a landscaping job perhaps he has matured enough to give the NRL a red hot go.  If it's a basement priced deal perhaps our club is the right fit these days with strong leadership on and off the field. The club would have to be convinced that he wants to change his old ways off the field.

    • Was he ever really that good? I know he went ok at the Storm but everyone who goes there does ok or better. It’s a no from me

  • I think it is a bad move all round. If he has such a condition playing league is the last thing he should be doing, The temptation to get on the grog again is there at every game. Don`t go near it. This could split the playing group. It is something we don't want and don't need.

Another point is that when the time comes to cut him from the squad who has the job of telling him he has to go? He is a psychiatric case. They don`t cure them.

    • ???

    • Well BE, Adam McGrath and Robert Lloyd all say NO.....that in itself makes him an absolute certainty.....sign him now, the last time those three was right was when the Chinese Premier promised Hong Kong freedom and independence in running the kingdom.

      • hahahaha yep. Gonna be a star now !

        maybe.

  • The guy has talent no question, although he is a bit of a turnstile in defence.
Like any potential recruit, if the price is right
