Curtis Scott - another one bites the dust

Another example of a player leaving the storm and falling off the rails.

NRL debut in 2016

Wins a comp in 2017

Plays in grand final in 2018

Named in Australia's World Cup squad in 2019

Joins Raiders in 2020 and hasn't been sited off Nobbies since

Now risks gets the sack for repeated misbehaviour

I hate Melbourne but you can't deny they get the most out of players in a way no other club does

  • It will be interesting to see what happens when Bellamy retires to see if it's him or their system that works.

    • It's both. A system is only as good as its operators.

  • Scott is a goose. I just knew he'd screw up again.

    • Some guys are just not meant for the headlights. Some guys are just better off playing park footy, no matter how talented they are.

  • Bellamy keeps it tight .  Must be brillant to keep Munster in check for so long .   Funny players leave the storm set up and just don't come up the same way ...

    • PT I think it's Bellamy.... there's been tons of assistant coaches leave the Storm and only a couple have done anything - Maguire, Robinson and Arthur have had the most success - when Bellamy leaves the storm will be a mere sun shower

    • I don't think he holds the reins as tightly as you might imagine. I think he basically isn't afraid to say, this is our standard, we might bend it for some, but we'll never break it.

The breaking point for Bellamy is when you disrespect the collective.

  • The Storm will fall like the Roosters when Bellamy goes. Not to a Broncos, Bulldogs level but they will drop. Everything comes around in cycles & although they have done well to replace Slater, Smith, a new coaches will come in with new ideas & that will be all it will takes.

    • Bellamy ain't that old - he may well coach on like uncle Benny.

By that time they would've opened the cheque book and bought the best replacement possible

They won't fail - the NRL can't afford them to.

    • I was thinking the same thing. Most people in Melboure would not recognise an NRL player, or wouldn't even care what they did. Very different in Sydney.

Mind you, Bellamy does seem to get the very last drop out of his players - not sure how he can do that and other coaches can't...
