  I think Gower is retiring or leaving. Vave's contract is expiring if I'm not mistaken.

    Vave is expected to get a two year extension due to his late season form

  I was thinking that this morning. Surely you’d have to stick with the existing back row of Tepai, Brown and Niukore. But who are our top 4 front rowers now? Paulo will be there. I think Terepo and Vave have put their hands up and probably Mannah the other. The other bench forward would be Lane. That leaves some good players like Manu, Alvaro and Taka in the Reggie’s.
  I’d like to see us not buy any more solid back up forwards but fill Wenty with young up and coming forwards who really want to succeed. If there are injuries promote the young guys and not older average experienced first graders. I think a youth policy will reignite this club and you can already see it happening. Had Kaysa not got injured we’d still be talking about Mahoney as a great young potential player instead of our starting hooker. Give them a go and if they are not up too then that’s ok, they can drop back.
  
  Having said that I’d like to see Gower have another year. Been great this year. Awesome back up forward

    There is no way Alvaro will be in Wenty, he has been outstanding this year.

      I’d say your right. He’s probably ahead of Vave and Terepo in the coaches plans

  Gone: Vave, Matagi, Gower, 

  Staying: Brown, Mannah, Mau, Alvaro, Terepo, Moeroa, Evans, Lane, Paulo, Niukore 

  Backup: Stone, Kaufusi, Faainga

  Taka should be shopped around, i can't see a place for him in the side.

  We still need a Taupau, NAS, Klemmer type frontrower to complete our forward pack.

    I see us really only needing to buy one more forward and that is hard nosed prop like Taupau.

    I thought Taka did well last night, and as he's off contract end of next year, he is worth keeping as he showed out ok last night in the forwards.

    Lets not forget that Trex is out and he was going well pre injury, big unit and worth another year also.
