Early Attack:
Our attack to start games is non existent. We got no ball player in the middle to start the game since Walker is on the bench and Hopgood ability in that department is gone backwards. We refuse to build pressure as well. We just go for the all of nothing play which doesn't come off. To start the game we gave away three 20m restarts. Moses needed to demand the ball and step up there. Really really poor. Hopefully JDB starting at lock next year helps with the link play. Need to work on attack structure anyway.
Effort:
First game in a long time I questioned some of the desire in the players. Iongi watching Duncan go all out for the ball on the floor was poor. Someone who has put effort on effort all year. I hope and believe that the effort issue is a one of game in our rebuilding year. Just got complacent and expected the win.
Support play:
How many linebreaks with no support play. Big area for Iongi to improve. Really wish Iongi had a bit better top speed. His footwork and acceleration is good. But he lacks the top speed to be a support player in time.
Tuilagi:
He runs great lines and has a great offload. But go watch how much Souths exposed Tuilagi efforts and lateral movement. He could not keep up with Souths shifting the ball that eels had to keep back pedalling to conceed meters. Moses could not slide as Tuilagi would take forever to get to his man. Williams and Kautoga have to be our edges next year. Just use Guymer as the back up option as he is defensively more sound than Tuilagi even if his attack isnt much.
Doorey:
He is a clear depth option. Defensively he struggles. He only has minimal good games in him. He had a couple good games in him earlier but recently he has lost his form again. Cannot be in the best 17.
Attacking Kicks:
Our attacking kicks are shit. Lomax ability in the air has disappeared. Can't catch anything anymore. Moses accuracy for those kicks were horrible as well. He needs to land in on the goal line not 5m inside the field.
Papalii:
He has no idea what he is doing as a 6. I do not think a pre-season there will change it much. His instincts are so much like a fullback. He doesnt see the game as a 6. He needs to be the back up fullback next year and thats it. Him at 6 essentially eliminates our left side attack. Fox got thrown so many hospital passes.
Red ball attack:
Papalii contributes to this issue as he is not a 6. He does not straighten the attack up at all on shape. On shape he runs like he is sweeping out the back like a fullback even though he is playing 6.
Moses does not touch the ball enough in attack. He needs to control the team. But right now we look clueless and looking for Walker to call the shots. Moses is the halfback. He needs to set our attack up better. He organises a one out settler every second tackle which is putrid. Get players going running under lines cutting back in or some short passes going with your backrowers running at the halves to generate quick play the balls instead of these boring settles. We were dominating them in the ruck but we tried going around them with diaboloical shifts. How did Moses to step up at the start of the game and allow those 20m restarts pissed me off.

"One error and he'll be written off because nobody has any patience here."
The real question is the "nobody" 1EE correspondents or people that count.....I think Ryles has shown amazing patience.
EA the one thing I've heard you and other say about Richie is he is great in defence, you did say attack needs work. All he needs to do is bring that defence to NRL and feed JAC. Done, simple. The job is then his. Future is now, name him.
Past 2 weeks he has really lifted in attack
He is going to be our centre round 1 next year I recon
Crazy but we actually miss Sean Russell 😂😂
I have read enough from you guys who know fcuk all. Hey Handicker one "swallow does not a summer make". When was the last piece of practical advice and encouragement you gave a player or coach at this level?
I respect Bup, Coryn and Graham as they have had something to do with the game and are tacticly astute, but everyone else critcises individuals and the coach. LB you were practical to a point but lack objectivity with individuals, it was like you wrote to please your audience.
You call the coach a rookie and let me say he is less than a rookie than our captain in terms of leadership. Yes you can learn leadership after a few fcuk ups. Moses has learnt a bit in the last two games in that regard.
We have just seen one of the highest coaches in the history of the game in Bennett lose 9 in a row but our new coach loses a game we should have won and you question his ability, fcuk me, do you think Bennett would have created what Ryles is on the way to doing?
So many of you guys are so used to losing, you don't know how to win. How would you be with the Dolphin's last night, the numerous other upsets this year. etc etc
Yes we played badly in the circumstance of should have been winning (6 extra tries), no real surprises just the same. Many of you predicted this, I didn't, I thought we would win easily. My thoughts were right, the teams execution was not. My thoughts don't count and the negative one's plastered over this don't either.
Shit happens, a lot more water has to flow under the bridge before you pricks start "sacking people".Critise all you like but do you really know better than the incumbents????????
Agree it's a process, just saying we are shit and sacking people doesn't solve anything 😂 need to identify the issues then work on fixing them not just throw the toys out
We are to well into the process now the only people getting fired are JRs assistants and he'll be responsible for that. But outside of that there aren't any quick fixes.Yes we need more roster turnover that's inevitable. But we have to stick now there's no way round it or like you imply 1 step foward 2 back.
My own expectations start in 27 as I understand there's more pain to come.At the end of 26 I expect the structure we play with to well entrenched and automated.I expect more juniors of nrl quality to be online and ready to go I expect next year for our salary cap to be all cleaned up.
A couple of personal things for me on the park I want Moses to take complete ownership of the side JR needs him on the ball more playing both sides.
I also expect our front office to set up partnerships with clubs outside of Aus and a scouting structure that includes looking further and wider no more of this last to table getting the leftovers BS.
I expect with a state of the art CoE more physical and athletic Parra sides no more getting beat by the mentioned with the above on line there's no excuses anymore for that.
Yep that's the elephant in the room, a lot of players have been moved on and cap space created but how are they going to use that space? A couple of key signings and things will improve rapidly but need to wait and see what they do.
May i ask what lack of objectivity you are referring to?
