  There was a huge rumour about hayne going to souths at the end of his last contract. I would be very surprised if they didn't put an offer to him, along with just about every other club in the NRL.

  it doesnt matter about all these offers at the end of the day it will come down to whether jarryd haynes heart is with the eels

  david gallop should resign the system he has in place is stupid if u produce ur jrs u should have a discount of the salary cap on that jr u produce and makes it to first grade (eg if u pay a jr $400k a year only 200k should be done on the cap) thats the only way players will stay loyal its like taking a baby away from its mother

  I know that if I was playing with the club that I had wanted to all my life, came up through the system that, (ahem), Brian Smith perfected , (He was there 10 years & had to work with, or around) Fitzy!) & had finally made it to 1st grade, I would take less to stay an Eel - that's why looking after your juniors is so important - they naturally love the club & wouldn't wanna play for anyone else, unless the pay was astronomically greater - Plenty of cases in point - Sterlo - Kenny - Burt (twice), Hindy....etc...etc if the new CEO, Ozzy tells us that it won't be $$$ that stops Jarryd from staying an Eel. he'll be an Eel!!! ..(or playing for another code, or country - full stop!!)

  I think his dad played for souths and he has been in negotiations with them in the past which will hopefully be as successful as this time.

  I understand that Manoa played for the Rabbits, but Jarryd has played as an Eel junior all his life!! - My Dad was born in England, but I wouldn't dream of playing for them. - Similar to Morts - His whole family played for the Dogs - but, if you look after your juniors, they will stay loyal. I still reckon we're a good chance of keeping Morts too!!!
