After watching Cronk in the Anzac test I think Thurston could find himself looking for a new job.

Lockyer was getting better service which allowed him to do his usual thing and the back line was also receiving more ball in their hands.

Thurston is the pin up boy in Qld and can do no wrong in the toads eyes, however Cronk does not play to get his name plastered in every newspaper - he plays for a win - which means he plays for the team.

Thurston is good but he is definitely NOT the best halfback in the world.

If he was half as good as his ego and publicity then the NQ Cowboys should be almost unbeatable.

Thurston is also getting injured far too often these days whereas Cronk has been powering on.

Maroons and Oz selectors will not drop Thurston unless he is injured but I think the loyalty thing selectors have for fading players is something that needs to be revised very quickly.

I doubt if JT (Just Terrible) will be around for the next world cup so it is time for selectors to move in the next generation and have them used to playing together when it counts.

What do you think?
